Gameboy Advance SP won't turn on. Green and red light flashes. Oh turned out the battery holder is loose, I fixed it. Sorry for any troubles. No troubles! That’s what we are here for. And providing your follow up solution may help another person in the future with a similar trouble.

I looked it up, saw others having similar issues and tried the following: Replace charger/try a different one. Replace battery/try a different one (having a friend bring a third GBA SP just to double check these two and make sure, but I highly doubt it). Clean the port itself. Clean the inside of the GBA with isopropyl alcohol and the connectors.
You do want to remove the screen. Clean the connector with some isopropyl alcohol and cotton tip applicator. Check the ribbon cable for tears, corrosion or frayed ends. Check the button with a multimeter in ohm mode, to see if you have continuity when on and no continuity when off. It also depends on how dark is dark. 0 Posts. It may more likely be a problem with a zener diode, comparator, or transistor (depending on the circuit), rather than with the green/red bi-color LED itself. Without seeing a schematic and troubleshooting it, this is just a guess. Your best bet would be to pay to have it repaired or at least diagnosed. What's very worrying about flickering (for the bottom screen) is this usually indicates unsteady power delivery either due to external influence or internal hardware failure. One of the sucky things about LCD screens is that they can be affected by electromagnetic interference if they're not properly shielded.Gba sp light going red to green .
