I have always love the bows from all the far cry games, i know while guns work just fine and even more effective but it is also a personal preference of badass stealthy archer. Like i said, i think ubisoft know that, so they introduced the bows to the franchise and it always one hit kill and i also think its because people also like to do trick

Far Cry really is, in my opinion the best game for archery. Plus, in previous Far Cry games, like 4 for example, I would always carry two bows, one for distance with the marksman sight, and the other with no sight for close range. I can't wait to do that in this one.

The bow is good for way more damage and range. Not good for surprise enemies. Compound Bow hits harder but is slower to load. Best bows so far are Bloodied/Anti Armor 50%Hit chance 25 Less Vats cost. Bloodied does well and one taps most enemies, more raw damage. Anti Armor does fantastic armor penetration and will also probably one tap enemies.

A bow is best for CQC against enemies because it's completely silent, it's also the best for hunting animals for obvious reasons. A sniper is well, a sniper. It's good for long range kills, sniping drivers out of/off of vehicles etc. IMO the .308 Carbine is the best sniper simply because you can have 150 AP rounds and it I've not once had it
Recurve bow is still an awesome weapon to use, counting special arrows it's basically three weapons in one. And It can potentially blow the auto crossbow out of the water range wise. Auto crossbow is really good too though there's no argument there, crossbow has the advantage of being better for all out gunfights + cqc.
